Home Staging: A Real Transformation

Home Staging: A Real Transformation

When ReMax Hallmark Realty agent, Geoffrey Grace, approached us about a modern home in the west end, we were thrilled.  We love houses.  We love working with Geoffrey, and we especially love modern!

The initial walkthrough was a challenge.  The family was already preparing to move, and their personal items were haphazardly packed, and also not packed.

Home Staging Tips: How to handle an awkward layout

We've all seen it before.  The 900 sq ft loft that is, in fact, 300 sq ft of hallway, and more bathrooms than any resident actually needs.  Or the oddly shaped corner condos which boast panoramic views.

So you've got this long hallway, pie shaped condo.  Now what?

Design Love: A Historical Church Conversion

When I first met this set of clients, the brief was short and sweet.  They were moving from a large home in Oakville to an open concept loft in a converted church.  We were going to determine what furniture of theirs would work, and what they would need to replace or get rid of.

Fast forward two years, and we renovated to washrooms, replaced the kitchen, commissioned custom millwork throughout, and brought in furniture for the dining, living, and two bedrooms.

Design Love: We Need Your Vote!

We had previously worked with this client on home staging for the sale of her condo.  When she came to us for help with her new penthouse in the sky, we were thrilled to take on the project with her.

The brief was to create a mature, yet cozy space that would be great for the couple to lounge in. They like raw materials and selected barn board flooring as a developer upgrade.  Too much wood can be, well, woody, so we opted for natural materials and shapes to add texture and interest.

We showed our client the boards last night and she loved them all.  Help her make the right choice: submit your vote in the comments below or tweet to @modernstagingca
