When I first met this set of clients, the brief was short and sweet.  They were moving from a large home in Oakville to an open concept loft in a converted church.  We were going to determine what furniture of theirs would work, and what they would need to replace or get rid of. 

Fast forward two years, and we renovated to washrooms, replaced the kitchen, commissioned custom millwork throughout, and brought in furniture for the dining, living, and two bedrooms.

Design Love: How to Get That Magazine Look

Working on a decorating project for a client, I wanted to find that perfect couch.  Something lush, with diamond tufts.  Maybe feeling like a deco library couch.   I had seen them in magazines, and loved the look.  

So I started shopping.  Wouldn’t you know it, but I could not find the style in the dimensions and colour that I wanted.  Not a single store in the Big Smoke carried just want I wanted.  Decorators can be pretty picky when it comes to the details, and retail stores just weren’t cutting it.
