Laura Dobell, Creative Director

After studying costume design and theatre set design at the university level, Laura found professional success during a 10 year career in the fashion industry, where she helped plan and merchandise retail interiors. 

With her flair for style and personal experiences in buying, selling, and renovating homes with one of Toronto's top realtors, turning to residential design was a natural move for Laura.  As Modern Staging | Spaces Creative Director, Laura provides guidance for her staging team, and leads the residential design projects. 

Laura has guest starred on DIY Networks hit show, Family Under Construction, as a design consultant, and her work has been showcased in the National Home Show in Toronto.  To add to her success, her staging work as appeared on HGTV's popular real estate show, Buy Herself, and has been show cased on both Toronto Life and HGTV's websites as Toronto's Hottest Lofts. 

In partnership with her fantastic clients, Laura and the realtors she works with have had their stagings / listings receive multiple accolades and media mentions in publications such as The Mash Canada and Toronto Life's Condo of The Week.

Laura enjoys relevant, thoughtful design, paddle boarding, and sunshine.

Shilpa Chandaria, Designer

 

Shilpa is an experienced designer who handles many of the larger design and staging projects for Modern Staging.   Having lived all over the world, designing and decorating her own homes. she brings her experiences and skills to staging and design.  

Beginning her Interior Design training in San Francisco and after relocating to Toronto in 2010, Shilpa has completed the George Brown Interior Decorating Certification. 

Shilpa enjoys mountains, the Pacific Ocean, and evergreens.

Sue Chenard, Designer

Having lived in Montreal, Vancouver Island, Ottawa and now Toronto, Sue has developed a keen sense for Interior esign.  She strives to create unique interiors that are both aesthetically pleasing and functinoal, while being attentive to her clients needs.   

Sue was awarded the Kravet Canada Interior Decorating Award in recognition of her academic achievement while studying at Humber College.  

Sue enjoys tennis, travelling and loves animals.
